Sylvia Luscombe Obituary

It is with great sadness that we suddenly say goodbye to our beloved mother, friend, and confidant, Sylvia Luscombe Tarodi. She passed away on February 12, 2025.   Sylvia lived to the age of 79, leaving behind 3 children, (Robert, Wendy and Sheryl), many loved stepchildren, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, her sister Lynda Napper (Beijk) and nieces and nephews, as well as longtime partner Frank Tarodi.

Sylvia was an avid floor curler, as well as a crib and canasta enthusiast. Those who loved her spent many delightful hours around a card table with her and her amazing sense of humor. She is remembered by her bright outgoing and colorful personality. And adored by many as Mom to those who really knew  her

Before  spending 5 years at Rosealta Lodge and 5 years with her daughter and grandsons in Camrose, Alberta, Sylvia enjoyed a gifted life of hairdressing in Victoria, a thriving salon on Saltspring Island, and Parksville, BC, where her artistic talents bloomed.

Sylvia is predeceased by her mother, artist Evelyn Napper, her father, Captain James Napper, her brother David Napper and recently the father of her three children, Thomas Luscombe.

We know she is resting joyfully with and in the arms of those she loved and looked up to.

Mom, may you forever rest in peace. May we all keep alive her naughty humor
