Obituary
Sonja was born on June 19th , 1952 in Maribor, Yugoslavia. She passed away on September 15th, 2023 with her family by her side. Sonja remained in Yugoslavia until the age of seven, then she and her mother made the voyage to Canada.
Sonja grew up in Holden and later in Edmonton. When she finished school, she moved back to Holden where she married Reuben on June 19th, 1971. They had two daughters Kathy and Laurie. They lived on the family farm near Holden for 43 years and then they moved to Camrose.
Sonja leaves to cherish her memories, her husband of 52 years, Reuben, her daughters Kathy (Larry), Laurie (Tony) and her granddaughters Breanne (Spencer), Kylie (Clay), and Julia (Mitchell).
She is predeceased by her mother Aloisia and her stepdad David.
A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 23, 2023 at Weber’s Mount Pleasant Chapel, Camrose, Alberta.
