Samuel James Hope, age 40, passed away unexpectedly on November 28, 2023, at his home in Edmonton, Alberta. He departed this world peacefully, lying in his bed, wrapped in warm blankets, with a fresh breeze gently caressing his face.

Born on February 26, 1983, in the same hospital as his mother and grandmother; Samuel was the son of Paul and Patricia. He grew up in many different places, experiencing the richness of diverse cultures and communities.

Samuel will be remembered for his warm smile and honest laugh, qualities that endeared him to friends and family alike.

He is survived by: his treasured grandfather Hector Marois, and his mother, Patricia, his brothers, Andrew and Jason (Kim).  One of the great joys in life were his nephews, Jeremiah, Eli, Judah and Cane and his niece Daleigha.  Samuel is preceded in death by his father Paul and his brother Jonathan.

A private gathering will be held on December 4th at Tofield, Alberta.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the George Spady Society.
