It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ron Goeglein on March 3, 2025 at the age of 93. He was born on October 31, 1931. He was proud to have lived his life in the Tofield Area and was always an active community member.
Ron leaves behind a true legacy of a man who lived and loved well. He was generous and developed genuine, deep connections with a diverse group of people of all ages. His optimism and determination were apparent right to the end. He believed very strongly that the true nature of wealth was good health and he always considered himself a very lucky man.
Left behind to mourn his passing: his daughter, Syd Sware (Don); his grandson Bryn (Abby); his wife Shirley and Shirley’s children Becky, Ron, Roxy, Raccine, Val, Bev and Bart, along with their respective families; his cousins, nieces, nephews, and his many friends.
He was predeceased by two infant daughters (Ronalda and Leslie), his parents Vi and Elmer Goeglein, his first wife, Barb, and his brother Elmer along with many other family members.
A celebration of life will be held at the Tofield Community Hall, 5309 – 50th St., on Friday, March 14, 2025 at 1:30 pm. A brief program will start at 2:00 pm to be followed by visiting and a light lunch. All are welcome!
Inurnment will take place at a later date. Donations may be made to the TRA Foodbank or the Tofield Golden Club including their expansion project.
