Paul Lolacher

Paul Lolacher Obituary

Paul Kenneth Lolacher of Tofield, Alberta has slipped through our fingers after a short, courageous battle with cancer.

Paul was born in Regina, Saskatchewan on July 10, 1953.

At the age of four, he moved to Vancouver and enjoyed a fun filled life with his brothers Don (Terrah), Ron (Linda), Bob (Lori), Dennis (Sandy) and Doug (Shelley).

As a young man he moved to Alberta where he built a home and a beautiful family; Amber (Tyler), Cody (Rianna), Rhea (Travis) and Jaden (Mike).  He enjoyed being a truck driver for Russel Metals where he worked for over 40 years, finding not just co-workers but lifelong friends.

In the late ‘70s Paul joined the Tofield Fire Department where he dedicated 45 years, serving with a group he called his fire family. Being the caring man that he was also found Paul contributing to many community events.

Through his love of dirt bikes brought into Paul’s life his best friend, Gaetan Gendron. Those two took their sons on numerous mountain adventures-camping, traveling, fishing.

15 years ago, he found the love of his life, Linda, along with her four kids, Mandy (Pete), Angie (Mike), Victoria (Justice) and Billie Lynn (Kodi) which brought even more meaning to his life.

Linda showed him how starting at “A” and getting to “B” can take “lots of time”. Never knowing which road they were going to take, or how long it would take to get there, was their favorite thing to do.

The last 15 years was filled with being there for their eight children, and welcoming 15 grandchildren, Bentley, Bray, Torren, Avraley, Samuel, Wyatt, Landon, Daxton, Mason, Zoe, Rylynn, Ledger, Hunter, Waylon and Beck.

The phrase “lots of time” has brought so much meaning to all of us that have been touched by him. The world has been a better place with him in it and his memory will live strong with family and friends.

Paul will join his mother, Margaret, brother, Dennis and sister-in-law Sandy to watch over us.

We’re sure a few shenanigans will still be played upon us. Until we meet again.

Celebration of Life will take place Thursday, December 14th, 2023 at the Tofield Community Hall starting at 1:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Tofield Fire Department or St. Mary's Hospital Foundation, Palliative Care Fund.
