Marjorie Peter, of Camrose, Alberta was born on March 3, 1937, and raised on her family farm in Riverview, Ontario. After graduating, she left the farm behind and found work at the CIBC bank in Toronto. During a visit to Barrie to attend a dance with her cousins, she met Ernie, the love of her life, and thus began their 54-year love story.
After marrying, Marjorie and Ernie settled in Winnipeg, where he was stationed with the Royal Canadian Air Force. It was here that they began their family, starting with Kathy, followed by Dale, and later Sheila. Over the next few years, the family moved several times, living in Penhold, Red Deer, Winnipeg, and Calgary, before finally settling on their farm east of Camrose which was home until 1996, when they moved into the city of Camrose.
Marjorie was a radiant presence in the lives of everyone who knew her. She was deeply loved as a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her life was marked by an abundance of love, compassion, and a steadfast faith in God. Her passing has left an irreplaceable void in the hearts of her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched.
She is survived by her daughter Kathy (Reg) Henderson, and her son Dale (Jeanne) Peter. Her legacy lives on through her grandchildren: Lindsay (Trevor), Travis (Amy), Shelbie (Andrew), Kari, Andrea (Matt), Ashley (Dave), Robin (Steve), Karla (Nick), and Bryce (Kelsey) and her great-grandchildren: Caleb, Ethan, Lucas, Addison, Eliana, Calden, Jackson, Annie, Bodie, Taylor, Ben, Von, Easton, Hendrik, Finley, Oswell, Selah, and Elliott.
Marjorie was predeceased by her beloved husband, Ernest; her daughter and son-in-law, Sheila and Dale Tien; her grandson, Ryan Henderson; and her parents, Lloyd and Mary Little.
