Maria Javier Martinez, lovingly known to us as "Con," was born on April 7, 1982, in Manila, Philippines. She was a beloved daughter to Igmedio and Anita Javier.

On March 5, 2025, she left us, surrounded by the love of her family. Maria’s legacy is carried on by her husband, Christian; her children, Marcus Arden and Sophie; her pet, Popoy; her parents; her siblings, Melanie, Lyla Rhose, and Kristina; and her nephews, Nethaniel, Simon Ivan, and Niccholos, and niece Nathallie.

Maria was a loving mother and wife, a devoted daughter, and a cherished sister and aunt. Her heart was big, and her love for her family and friends knew no bounds. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, like tending to her garden, where she grew sunflowers and vegetables like potatoes, carrots, tomatoes, pumpkin, and capsicum. Her green thumb was a testament to her nurturing spirit. Her love for gardening was matched only by her passion for cooking. Her famous Mechado, Crispy Sisig, Palabok, and Cassava cake were favorites among her family and friends. Her kids loved the buttered shrimp and Taho she made from scratch.

Maria had a special place in her heart for her mother’s province, Banawon, Antique. She cherished her time there, especially the long vacation she spent with her children enjoying the beach and the seafood before moving to Canada.

She was a hardworking woman, with a heart for the elderly, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. Maria’s spirit of kindness and generosity touched everyone she met, leaving an indelible mark on their lives.

A memorial service will take place from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Saturday, March 8, 2025 at Weber's Mount Pleasant Chapel in Camrose.
