On April 3, 2026, Kenneth Don Cassidy passed away after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was 64 years old. Ken was born on May 12, 1961, to Don and Laura Cassidy. He grew up as part of a large family, with six siblings. Among them, his youngest sister Ronda held a very special place in his heart. About twenty-five years ago, Ken suffered a profound loss when Ronda also passed away after her own battle with cancer. Ken now joins her again—reunited as her big brother, watching over her once more.
Ken’s life was long, complex, and often difficult, shaped by both love and hardship. Despite the challenges he faced, he was a father to three children; Chantelle, Nicholas and Amanda.
Nicholas was recently reunited with Ken. Though there were years marked by distance, the final months brought time together that was deeply meaningful. The last two months shared with him helped heal old wounds and will always be treasured.
In keeping with Ken’s wishes, there will be no service or memorial. His ashes will be taken to Vernon, British Columbia, a place he loved, where he will be laid to rest in peace.
Ken will be remembered not for a perfect life, but for a real one—filled with struggle, love, loss, and enduring bonds that even time and illness could not erase. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those who loved him.
