Ina Anderson

March 21, 1935 - September 16, 2025

It is with heavy hearts and a deep sense of loss, we announce the passing of Ina Anderson. Surrounded by her loving family, Ina passed peacefully on September 16th, 2025 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Camrose Alberta at the age of 90.

Ina’s greatest love and sense of pride came from her family.  She cherished her children and grandchildren.  Ina will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Patricia (Joe) and her grandchildren, Evan (Dalainey), Clayton, Brian (Erika), Jamie, Kevin, Amberley, David, Kyle as well as her great-grandchildren, Briannah, Spencer, Molly, Emillie, Parker, Avielle and Eliah.  

 Ina was predeceased by her beloved husband Jim, daughter Cathy, son Davey, her parents Ken and Jessie Cowan and brothers Roy and Ellard.  Though she endured great personal loss, she carried herself with grace and resilience. 

Ina was the second child of 10 and will be missed by her brothers, sister and numerous nieces and nephews.  

For over 30 years, Ina gave her time and energy to the volunteer community in Ladysmith, B.C. She was a member of the Ladysmith Healthcare Auxiliary and the Fraternal Order of Eagles, where her compassion and commitment made a lasting impact.  Her volunteer work was not just service, it was a reflection of her deep pride for the town of Ladysmith.  

We will carry her in our hearts, never forgetting her and all the love she gave to us.  

A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
