Helen Marko of Holden, Alberta, passed away on March 17, 2026 at the Tofield Hospital at the age of 88. She is now at peace.

Helen was born on October 22, 1937 on a farm east of Ryley. Her parents were Joe and Annie Kudrowich. She married Nick Marko July 4, 1959, and they farmed south of Holden in the Kopernick area.

She leaves to mourn her children, Teresa (Alan) Carter, David Marko, Wayne Marko, Charleen Marko and grandsons Ben and Michael. Her siblings; Eileen Nakonechny, Mary (Dan) Korchinski, Susan (Wayne) Kushnir, Peter (Dayna) Kudrowich, Angie (Ken) Pope, her sister-in-law Doris, brother-in-law Vern Kalynchuk,  numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents Joe and Anne. Her husband Nick, her sisters Judy Kalynchuck and Rose Danilak and  grandson Andrew Carter.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at Holy Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 5208-53 Ave., Viking, Alberta.  Interment will follow at Kopernick Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Kopernick Cemetery.
