In Loving Memory of

Frank Alexander aka “Elvis”

Frank Alexander was born in Vanderhoof, BC.  He is a respected elder of Takla Nation, and a devoted catholic. He was known to be honourable and humble.  He was dedicated to his community and his family. Frank married Evelyn in 1967 and they lived many happy years together.

He lived throughout northern BC in communities such as Takla Nation, Fort St. James, Vanderhoof, Prince George, Burns Lake, and Hogum. Throughout his life he worked hard to provide for his family by working in forestry, mining, hunting and guiding.

Frank loved his sports - hockey, especially Vancouver Canucks, Blue Jays and many others.  He also loved to go to bingo and the casino. Frank was connected to the land and the outdoors.  He loved to hunt, fish, camp, hike and spend time at Hogum.  Frank loved his family very much and made a point to ensure he spent time with them.  He frequently would travel back and forth between Alberta and BC to see them.

Frank was known for listening to music, playing his guitar and several sayings such as “You better believe it” and “Mind your own business”.

He is survived by his children:  David, Martin (Lori), Brenda, Karen, Tracy and Frances.  His grandchildren:  Randall (Kim), Evelina (Tristan), Savannah, Michael, Jason (Melissa), Daniel (Fifi) and Melissa.  His great-grandchildren: Lucas (Alexandria), Leanna (Alexandria), Mateo (Evelina), Avely (Evelina & Tristan), Aaliyah (Evelina), Kaylee (Randall), Ayden (Randall & Kim), Jackson (Kim), Zayne (Kim), Braylon (Kim), Draven (Jason) and Dominic (Ieasha). His siblings: Julie, Josie, Henry and many nieces and nephews that he adored dearly.

He was predeceased by his wife Evelyn, his daughter Ramona, his siblings; Jesse, Peter, Mark, Johnny, Arthur and Louise as well as his granddaughter Alexandria.

He will be dearly missed by all.

A funeral service will take place on Monday, April 14, 2025 at 11 a.m. at the Nus Wadeezuhl School Gym, 23B Church Loop Drive, Takla Landing, B.C.

Interment to follow in Takla Nation.  Potlatch to follow burial at the Potlatch House, Takla Landing.
