ELSIE NELSEN  

Elsie Ellen Nelsen (nee Manyk) was born in Edmonton, Alberta. She passed away in Vegreville, Alberta at the age of 98 years.    

Elsie is survived by her daughter, Marlene Nelsen Chan and her son, Wayne (Charlene) Nelsen, her three grandchildren: Owen (Neila), Blair (Heidi), Theresa (Dean); ten great grandchildren: Nolan, Cameron, Annika, George, Abigail, Kali, Garth, Troy , David and Suzanne; brother, Garry (Margaret) Manyk, sister-in-law, Anne Christensen, brother-in-law, Harvey Christensen as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her husband, Orville Nelsen; parents Michael and Clara Manyk; brother, George (Phyllis) Manyk and sisters, Irene (Russell) Hathaway and Fran (Lloyd) Smith; son-in-law, Terence Tai Wa Chan; brothers-in-law, Edward, Allan and Gordon Christensen and sister-in-law, June (Rien) van der Velde.

The family is so very grateful to all of the wonderful health care, kitchen, recreation and administrative staff at Heritage House in Vegreville for the life that she lived there for the past number of years until her death.
