Dr. Paul Collins

It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of Dr. Paul Henry Collins. Surrounded by family and love, Paul passed peacefully at home on April 5, 2023 at the age of 65 in Beaver County, AB. Paul was born on June 26, 1957 to Ronald and Joan Collins. On July 10, 1976 Paul married the love of his life, Paulette Buchinski, and together they raised three beautiful children.

A life-long learner with a passion for education, Paul went on to receive his Accounting Certification in 1983 and then his Bachelor of Science with Specialization in Chemistry in 1992. He then attended Medical School in Calgary where he earned his Doctor of Medicine in 1996. From there, he received his Certification in Family Medicine in 1999, and his Fellowship in Family Medicine in 2010. Paul felt a strong connection to family medicine and devoted the rest of his career in this field while practicing in Sherwood Park, AB.

Paul leaves behind his wife Paulette and his children; Michael, Theresa (Kyle), and Tim (Angie), his six grandchildren; Mason, Brooke, Max, Ivy, Jacob, and Michelle, his mother Joan, and his siblings; Peter, Rachel (Egils), Amanda (Glenn), Ruth (Lawson), and a large extended family. Paul is predeceased by his father Ronald.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday April 22, 2023 at 10:00am at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Tofield, AB.
