It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Arthur (Art) William Gibson of Holden, Alberta on August 21, 2024, at the age of 88 years.

Art was a cherished father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend – whose departure has left a void in all our hearts.

Art is survived by his four children; June (Will) Straty, Leonard Gibson, Louise (Roger) Schultz and Barb Read, six grandchildren; Rick (Trina) Theroux, Danny (Tristyn) Theroux, Amy (Kelly) DeGraaf, Jynessa Gibson, Zander Read and Zachary Read, four great-grandchildren; Ellie Theroux, Jackson Theroux, Charlotte Theroux and Easton Theroux, his brother; David (Margaret) Gibson and many other family and friends.

Art was predeceased by his wife; Betty Gibson, grandson; David Gibson, parents; Leigh and Alma Gibson and brothers Charles Gibson and Alfred Gibson.

Following a private graveyard service, we invite all family and friends to join us at a reception to celebrate and share memories of Art on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at 2:00 pm at the Holden Legion, 4923-51 Avenue, Holden AB.
