Albert Spaulding

It is with sadness, but wonderful hope of eternity with his Lord and Saviour, that we share the passing of Albert Addison Spaulding, husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather on November 8, 2023, at the age of 96 years. Albert was born on April 21, 1927, to parents William Henry and Lily Marie Adele Spaulding, the oldest of three boys.

Albert was predeceased by his parents and two younger brothers, Norman in 1951 and David in 2006.

Remembering him, with love, are his wife Naomi Spaulding; children Wes (Laurel) Spaulding, Marilyn (Jeff) Morgan, Karen (Mark Voshell), Cheryl (Steve Mitts) and Kelly Spaulding; nine grandchildren, Leah (Matthew), Hannah (Peter), Ian, Brett (Katie), Karla (Matthew), Tyler, Raelene, Kaitlin and Katelynn Towell;  five great-grandchildren, Georgia, Elizabeth, Audrey, Blake, and Lauren. Albert is also remembered by his three sisters-in-law, Zelda Stensrud, Shirley Stensrud and Gertie Pearson and numerous nieces and nephews.

Albert was born at home in the Daysland area. His early school years were in a country school called Montrose School, then high school in Daysland and three years of Bible School in Edmonton. Albert married in 1958, lost his father in 1960, and continued farming with his wife and young family.

Albert and Naomi sold the family farm in Killam in 2013, and at the age of 86 and 83, moved to Wetaskiwin where they settled well and enjoyed their retirement years.

 The family is forever grateful to Dr. Brand, Wetaskiwin Home Care and the nurses and physicians at Wetaskiwin Hospital Unit 35 for the exceptional care our dad received.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 25, 2023 at the Full Gospel Church in Wetaskiwin, Alberta.
