Albert Fleck
Albert Fleck Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather Albert Jacob Fleck at the age of 90 on April 25th, 2026 in Camrose, Alberta.
Albert was devoted to his family, leaving behind a lifetime of treasured memories. He took great pride in his work, first as a gravel truck driver and later as a farmer. He loved nothing more than saddling up his horse and spending hours checking cows, finding peace and purpose out on his farm near Tofield, Alberta, with his cherished dog Sadie by his side.
Summers were spent enjoying one of his favourite past times - rodeos. With the motorhome packed, he and his family would head out onto the road, creating memories that will be valued forever. In the winter months, he could be found in the arena, watching his grandchildren, always with his signature half-coffee, half-hot-water in hand.
Despite his strong work ethic, Albert had a playful side that all the grandchildren adored. April Fools Day was his absolute favourite. He never missed a chance to pull a prank or share a laugh. As the grandchildren grew older and began turning the tables on him, he stayed ready- often waiting by the phone just to answer with “I know what day it is.” Albert also had a well-known sweet tooth. He never turned down chocolate or a dippy cone, as there was always room for something sweet, no matter the time of day.
He is lovingly remembered by his children Kimberly (Doug), Allan (Yvette), Stacey (Chris); his sister Angeline; his grandchildren Jodisa (Glen), Lyle (Kristen), Andrew (Chelsea), Jordan (Erika), Sara, Hailey, Tyler; and great-grandchildren Mack, Birk, Ilah, Austin, Georgia, Emma, Nolan and Avery. He is predeceased by his beloved wife Judy, and brothers Lorne, Leonard and Leroy.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Stars Air Ambulance or a charity of your choice. Albert was a proud supporter of Stars, often saying “you never know when you will need the help.”
He will be deeply missed. We take comfort in knowing his life was well lived and he is now reunited with his wife Judy, likely celebrating her belated birthday together once again.
Details regarding the celebration of life will be shared with family and friends.
